Yoweri Museveni faces Bobi Wine in presidential contest.

Millions of Ugandans have left to the polls to pick the country’s president and Members of Parliament. The people will decide wether first time challenger Bobi Wine, is the next President of Uganda ?? or Yoweri Museveni will be back again, for the 6th term in office.

38 year old former actor and musician who is also an opposition Member of Parliament, Robert Kyagulanyi affectionately known as Bobi Wine is challenging the 76 year old incumbent President Yoweri Museveni in this elections.

Incumbent President Museveni, a former soldier, has been in power since 1986. When he came into power, his closest contender Wine was only four years old. President Museveni is seeking his sixth term in office after having led the country as its President 35 years ago.

Wine, on the other hand started off as a musician/actor and only joined politics a few years back. He currently holds a seat as an opposition Member of Parliament.

Yesterday (Wednesday) when telecoms companies told their customers that they had blocked all social media and messaging apps indefinitely, following an order from Uganda's Communications Commission.

Polling stations opened this morning at 7am and final results are expected to be announced atleast by Sunday.
